ok, i have linked your site yet again. because your frozen plate trick worked perfectly for me, not once, but twice. and you can bet i'll be using it again.

i've read in other places about the frozen plate, but to test doneness, you "press the jam up and if it wrinkles, it's done." doesn't that seem rather... um... subjective? what does wrinkly jam look like?

anywho, check out the little plug here. and thanks again. :)

hi there! i wrote the re-nest post about canning that you commented on... and subsequently clicked on the link that brought me here. and let me tell you, i read this recipe, then went to HEB to pick up one more pound of strawberries (i had some at home from our CSA) and then straight to the liquor store to replenish my tequila shelf. i can't WAIT to make some of this jam. i'm with you on the margaritas, too, haha!

thanks for reading re-nest. :) i'm looking forward to reading more of your blog--i keep a cooking blog, too (the link is above). happy cooking!

Hi Kristi!
First off, I LOVE your blog. I just read the whole thing back-to-back when I should have been sorting through and responding to the hundred emails that managed to pile up at work over the course of the evening. Don't people sleep??
And secondly, but no less important, it was REALLY great to meet you and James at Sam's Sips and Dips party the other night (of which I have yet to see a corresponding blog post for but I'm looking forward to it). Mike and I had a great time and I'm still dreaming about those marshmallows. Let's eat again soon!
